Welcome to the new and improved official website for the Leura Gardens Festival. We hope you like the appearance and layout and find the site easier to negotiate.
The 2015 Leura Gardens Festival will take place from Saturday, October 3 to Sunday, October 11 - gardens open from 9.30 am - 4.30 pm daily - and we hope you are already planning your visit.
But first, a big thanks to all our wonderful volunteers, sponsors and, of course, our visitors, for making the 2014 Leura Gardens Festival the best ever. The 2014 festival celebrated our 50th year, and its success far exceeded our expectations in terms of both the huge number of visitors and the amount of money it raised for our local hospital and other health related charities.
Proceeds from the festival go to purchasing equipment for the Blue Mountains District Anzac Memorial Hospital and last year the hospital benefited to the tune of $150,00, a wonderful result.
Planning is now well underway for this year’s event. It was hard to know what to do for an encore, so we are sticking with what we do best – beautiful gardens, our ever-popular music festival and a terrific art show.
Ten wonderful Leura gardens are taking part this year – two totally new to the festival, two returning after a break and six magical old favourites. And, unlike last year, the majority of them are within reasonable walking distance of each other, so you may be able to visit more gardens in the time you have available. Or, of course, stay overnight and see them all!
We also have an exclusive offer to tour groups who would like to visit the gardens prior to the festival - click here to read more about this.
Please put the date in your diary. We hope to see you then.
Many thanks to those who have contributed Festival photographs to this site, including Jodi McConaghy Photography, Helen Caughey, Diana Tonner, Ward Aitkens and Inger Lise Ellingsen.
