Saturday 3rd - Sunday 11th October 2015
Welcome to the new and improved official website for the Leura Gardens Festival. We hope you like the appearance and layout and find the site easier to negotiate.
First, just a clarification. We, and the whole gardening world, were very sad to hear that Open Gardens Australia will not be continuing beyond its current season. The event has brought great pleasure to so many people, garden owners and visitors, over the years. But Leura Gardens Festival is not part of Open Gardens; we are a totally separate body established specifically to raise money for our local hospital, and we will hopefully continue to do so for many years to come.
Thanks to all our wonderful volunteers, sponsors and, of course, our visitors, the 2014 Leura Gardens Festival, which celebrated our 50th year, can only be described as the best ever, far exceeding our expectations in terms of both the huge number of visitors and the amount of money it raised for our local hospital and other health related charities.
So planning is now well underway for this year’s event and we hope you will enjoy it just as much.
Ten wonderful Leura gardens are taking part this year – two totally new to the festival, two returning after a break and six magical old favourites.
As well, we will have other events including the art show and our ever-popular music festival, with several new acts to delight you. We also have an exclusive offer to tour groups who would like to visit the gardens prior to the Festival - click here to read more about this.
Please put the date in your diary.
Many thanks to those who have contributed Festival photographs to this site, including Jodi McConaghy Photography, Helen Caughey, Diana Tonner, Ward Aitkens and Inger Lise Ellingsen.
