The front garden includes a 'wander' garden with a pebble path meandering among the trees. The rear garden has the most stunning view – it will take your breath away.
The garden boasts flowers all year round due to careful planting – there is always something blooming. The beautiful azaleas are an explosion of colour in the spring and have been cloud pruned for some drama. There are camellias, rhododendrons, Japanese maple, daphne, copper beech, tree ferns, daffodils along with many mature alpine trees and plants. In spring one can experience the delight of the cherry blossoms lining the driveway.
The bottom half of the garden has been left as natural bush as it backs onto the world heritage listed Blue Mountains National Park.
Rock from the property has been used to create sculptural stone walls and there is even a Tibetan style chorten in the lower garden.
Many birds can be seen in the garden including some lyre birds who have been causing some havoc on our lawn plus eastern rosellas, king parrots, glossy cockatoos and kookaburras.
Please note that the rear garden is quite steep with uneven paths. The good news is that the views can be enjoyed without having to walk all the way down.
We hope you enjoy the delights of Himalaya’s garden as part of the Leura Gardens Festival.
